  • Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi – The Capital of Vietnam.

    On arrival. Your guide & driver will meet you at Noi Bai airport & take you to your hotel in the city center.

    Day 2: Hanoi City Tour ( Meals: B / L )

    Have breakfast at hotel, you have a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Although it is the modern-day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries.

    Our city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house, museum); the Presidential Palace; the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Old Quarter; the Temple of Literature; West Lake; the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple; and then explore the Museum of Ethnology which contains artifacts from 54 different ethnic groups and reconstructions of traditional longhouses, cemeteries and other distinctive ethnic buildings.

    Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay ( Meals: B / L D )

    Morning drive to the world heritage site of Halong Bay and board the Violet traditional junk (or similar) for an overnight cruise in the bay. Afternoon visit to Bai Tu Long Bay and Vung Vieng fishing village.

    Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi ( Meals: B / L )

    In the morning, cruise around the limestone mountain islands and explore Sung Sot cave. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon and stay at your Hotel for 2 nights.

    Day 5: Hanoi – Mai Chau ( Meals: B / L / D)

    After breakfast We drive through the rice paddies and mountains to Mai Chau, home of the Thai minority. Afternoon walking tour of Pom Coong and Lac villages. Stay overnight at the Mai Chau Lodge.

    Day 6: Mai Chau – Hanoi – Hoi An ( Meals: B / L )

    Morning visit to the Hmong hill tribe villages of Xa Linh. This afternoon, return to Hanoi and fly to Hoi An, one of Asia’s most beguiling towns.

    Stay 2 nights in Hoi An.

    Day 7: Hoi An – My Son Holy Land ( Meals: B / L )

    Morning tour of My Son ruins from the Cham period. Lunch at Streets International restaurant, a social enterprise initiative for street children. Afternoon walking tour of the former trading port of Hoi An, which has Chinese, Japanese and European influences.

    Day 8: Hoi An – Hue ( Meals: B / L )

    Morning drive over the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hue, visiting the Cham Museum and the Tomb of Khai Dinh en route. Afternoon visit to the Tomb of Tu Duc and Dong Ba market.

    Stay in Hue for 2 nights.

    Day 9: Hue City Tour ( Meals: B / L )

    Morning cyclo ride to Imperial Citadel and tour the Citadel and the Purple Forbidden City. Continue to Thien Mu pagoda for a chance to interact with the monks who reside there. Afternoon royal martial arts performance. Dinner at the restored royal home of the Nguyen dynasty.

    Day 10: Hue – Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong delta ( Meals: B )

    Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to My Tho on the Mekong delta for a boat trip to explore Mekong River. Continue to Can Tho and stay overnight in Can Tho.

    Day 11: Cai Rang floating market – Saigon ( Meals: B / L )

    Early morning boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, Indochina’s largest and most impressive. Return to Ho Chi Minh City and stay 2 nights in Saigon.

    Day 12: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels ( Meals: B / L )

    Morning drive through countryside and visit the Cu Chi tunnels. In the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City for a tour that includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, the gothic post office, Reunification Square and the War Remnants Museum.

    Day 13: Ho Chi Minh departure ( Meals: B )

    Today is free at your leisure for last minute shopping or sight-seeing before driving to the airport & fly home.

    NOTE: Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum: Every year Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum is closed between October and December for re-embalmment of the body and can only be visited from outside.
