Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi – The Capital of Vietnam.
On arrival. Your guide & driver will meet you at Noi Bai airport & take you to your hotel in the city center.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour ( Meals: B / L )
Have breakfast at hotel, you have a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Although it is the modern-day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries.
Our city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house, museum); the Presidential Palace; the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Old Quarter; the Temple of Literature; West Lake; the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple; and then explore the Museum of Ethnology which contains artifacts from 54 different ethnic groups and reconstructions of traditional longhouses, cemeteries and other distinctive ethnic buildings.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay ( Meals: B / L D )
Morning drive to the world heritage site of Halong Bay and board the Violet traditional junk (or similar) for an overnight cruise in the bay. Afternoon visit to Bai Tu Long Bay and Vung Vieng fishing village.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Sapa ( Meals: B / L )
Rise early to see the sunrise on the bay. Disembark and transfer to Hanoi railway station for the Victoria Express train to Lao Cai. Stay overnight aboard the train.
Day 5: Sapa Trekking ( Meals: B / L )
Morning arrival in Lao Cai. Visit a colourful minorities market and take a cruise on the Tay river. Take a short trek to Trung Do village. After a picnic lunch, transfer through the mountains to the French colonial town of Sapa for a 2-night stay at the Victoria Sapa.
Day 6: Sapa ( Meals: B / L )
Full-day exploration of the Muong Hoa valley, including a walking tour to rice terraces and a Tavan village.
Day 7: Sapa – Hanoi ( Meals: B / L )
Afternoon visit to Silver waterfall and Heaven’s Gate, then transfer to the railway station in Lao Cai to take the evening train to Hanoi. Stay overnight aboard the Victoria Express.
Day 8: Hanoi fly to Hue:
Early morning arrival in Hanoi. You will take a rest at hotel nearby Hanoi railways station with short rest and have breakfast at hotel. Around 09h00 our driver will take you to the airport for the flight to Hue, the 19th-century Nguyen empire capital.
Stay 2 nights at La Residence Hue.
Day 9: Hue City Tour ( Meals: B / L )
This morning, take a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel and visit the Purple Forbidden City. Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda and have a chance to interact with the monks to learn about their lives. Enjoy lunch in a restored royal home from the Nguyen dynasty. In the afternoon, visit the royal tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, and Dong Ba market.
Day 10: Hue – Hoi An ( Meals: B / L )
Drive over the spectacular Hai Van pass to Hoi An. Have lunch at Streets International, a social enterprise initiative with the purpose to develop and operate sustainable programmes for street children. Afternoon tour of Hoi An, home to historic Chinese, Japanese and European influences.
Stay 2 nights in Hoi An.
Day 11: Hoi An ( Meals: B )
Morning excursion to see the Cham towers at My Son.
Day 12: Hoi An fly to Ho Chi Minh City ( Meals: B / L )
This morning, drive to Danang and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Afternoon city tour, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, gothic post office, Reunification Square and the War Remnants Museum. Dinner at the Park Hyatt’s Square One restaurant.
Stay 3 nights in Saigon.
Day 13: Saigon – Mekong Delta ( Meals: B / L )
Full day to My Tho on the Mekong delta for a boat trip to explore Mekong River.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels fly Home ( Meals: B / L )
Morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside and visit the Cu Chi tunnels. Afternoon back to airport fly home.

– Ho Chi Minh mausoleum: Every year between October and December, Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum is closed for reembalmment of the body and can only be visited from outside.
– Cruise Halong Bay: It is also possible to take 2-night cruises aboard the luxurious Violet, Jasmine, Ginger, Indochina Sails which offers an itinerary that explores Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay and Bai Tu Long bays.
Minorities markets in Sapa: There are various minorities markets that take place on different days of the week. The busiest and most colourful take place on the weekends, including Can Can (Saturdays) and Bac Ha (Sundays).
